I'd recommend he XMB UI wih that setup though, as Ozone's UI isn't designed with on-screen controls in mind and the on-screen buttons will cover some of the text. That will bring up the on screen gamepad even in the menus, and will override the touch based UI for he menus. If you're playing without a controller and don't want the baked in touch interface, do "settings -> on-screen display -> display overlay (on)," and below that, set "hide overlay in menu" to off. Ozone looks fine in landscape mode on my LG G6 but YMMV. And my bad, I do use a tablet so everything's a bit bigger. I think they did that so you can't accidentally hit anything. You need to double tap items to drill down into the menus. The ozone is so small I literally can't read the menu options They technically do but it's not made for it as it seems to be emulating a mouse with how it works. Good chance I'm just missing a choice somewhere in the multitudinous menu labyrinth. Do you know if there is a way to have a core's controller overlay automatically load for that core so I don't have to manually set it and look through all the settings to find one that will work for it? It's always been a huge annoyance and I haven't found a solution for it. You do seem pretty familiar with the inner workings though. The ozone is so small I literally can't read the menu options, and it doesn't seem to respect the menu scale setting so that's a non-starter. They're nearly impossible to navigate through touch, and half the time I'm just playing on the touch screen without any controller hooked up so I want to be able to navigate quickly with touch controls. Both of those menu gui options are only really going to be usable with a controller unfortunately.

If you prefer, all the options above are also available on the XMB and rGUI interface, though the XMB and Ozone interface drivers are the only ones I'd actually recommend using. The interface is 100x better than it was in the past. Lastly, go into "settings -> User Interface -> Menu Item Visibility" and disable any options you don't want to see, like music, images, etc.įrom there, I can't really see there being any issues. Without that, RA only keeps your in-game saves on exit (and doesn't save if you just swipe close). Sane interface that works with touch, mouse, and gamepad.įrom there, do "settings -> saving" and set saveram interval to a short period, like 5 seconds. Then quit and restart Retroarch (specifically by the "quit Retroarch" option to save the change).
